Third-party authorities with Netwealth Super

Does Netwealth Super require its own form?

Own form / own online process — no published acceptance of generic authority letters (generic-letter acceptance is UNVERIFIED). Netwealth's two published pathways are: (1) the 'Change of adviser' form (NW-COA_0626, June 2026 version — read directly) by which the member authorises Netwealth to disclose information about their investments to the Nominated Financial Adviser and can optionally appoint them Adviser Representative with transaction authority; and (2) the fully-online 'Professional Third Party Access' process for read-only access by accountants and other professionals, which requires the professional to hold their own Netwealth Professional Third Party account (ABN required) and the client to approve digitally in their portal — no paper form exists for this pathway.

Form details

'Change of adviser' form NW-COA_0626 (version dated 0626 = June 2026, current): https://www.netwealth.com.au/librarymanager/libs/41/ChangeOfAdviserForm_Interactive.pdf. For Netwealth Superannuation Master Fund accounts the MEMBER alone signs (wrap accounts need all signatories). Required info: client name, client number, account number(s), new adviser name, adviser code, AFS licensee name. Step 3 is an opt-OUT Adviser Representative nomination — unless the tick-box is marked, the new adviser gets transaction authority, not just information access; if opted out the adviser still gets account access but cannot transact. No expiry on the authority; it survives the adviser changing AFSL provided the new licensee is registered with Netwealth. Signatures: electronic/digital signatures are accepted per Netwealth's signature policy (Zendesk article 'What signature methods, including digital, are accepted for documents?') BUT the e-signature summary certificate (e.g. DocuSign certificate page) must be uploaded together with the signed document; the only form requiring a posted wet-ink original is the Non-Custodial Investments Limited Power of Attorney. No ID certification requirement stated on the form.

Where and how to lodge

Form states lodgement is via Netwealth's secure online Document Upload facility (client or adviser portal: Activities & Tasks > Document Upload) — this is the channel the fund itself directs and processes. Alternatives: general email contact@netwealth.com.au, post PO Box 336 South Melbourne VIC 3205, fax 03 9655 1333. Professional Third Party access is initiated entirely online (adviser: Business Settings > Professional Third Party Access; client approves via Activities and Tasks > Open Activities or by SMS/email prompt). Note: change of adviser has NO online transaction equivalent — it is an offline (form upload) process per Netwealth's Zendesk help.

Published turnaround

No published turnaround/service standard for information requests or change-of-adviser processing — UNVERIFIED. Complaints acknowledgment target: within 24 hours or as soon as practicable.

Watch-outs

1) E-signed documents are rejected if the electronic signature summary certificate is not uploaded with the signed form — a common silent rejection cause. 2) Change of adviser cannot be done online as a transaction; it is form-upload only, and no processing SLA is published. 3) Professional Third Party Access requires the third party to open their own Netwealth PTP account with a valid ABN before anything can be granted — real friction for one-off information requests. 4) On accounts with multiple usernames, the Change of Adviser form reassigns only the primary username to the new adviser; other usernames keep the old adviser — can leave the outgoing adviser with residual access. 5) If a client is released/removed by an adviser, re-linking requires a fresh Change of Adviser form plus new fee consent. 6) No community complaints about Netwealth turnaround found — its service reputation is the best of the major platforms, so slow-response escalation tooling will rarely trigger here.

If they go quiet

Email complaints@netwealth.com.au, or write to The Complaints Manager – Investor Services, PO Box 336, South Melbourne VIC 3205, or phone 1800 888 223. Published IDR response commitments: 30 days for standard/privacy complaints, 45 days for superannuation complaints, 90 days for death benefit distribution complaints. Escalation: AFCA (GPO Box 3 Melbourne VIC 3001, 1800 931 678, info@afca.org.au) — AFCA membership number for Netwealth Superannuation Master Fund is 79400.

Under s1017C of the Corporations Act, a trustee must make reasonable efforts to comply with an information request within one month. If Netwealth Super exceeds its own published standard, a formal internal-dispute-resolution complaint starts a 45-calendar-day clock under ASIC Regulatory Guide 271 — with AFCA as the next stop.
