Third-party authorities with Macquarie Wrap

✓ Verified August 2026

Does Macquarie Wrap require its own form?

Own form required — no evidence Macquarie accepts a generic signed authority letter. Two distinct mechanisms, both on Macquarie's own forms: (1) 'Financial Services Company or Professional third party authority form' (version BCASD-863-SEPT-2025) grants a financial adviser/accountant/firm View Authority (plus optional Accelerator Transfer, Term Deposit, Tax/Government Payment, Financial Services Debt, and General Withdrawal authorities for eligible firms) over the client's Macquarie Cash Hub, Wrap, Vision and Term Deposit accounts. Verified from the form itself. (2) To become the servicing adviser on a Wrap Super account, the 'Change of Account Details Form' (CA-4344 MAY 2026), section 6 'Appoint a new adviser' — the form states 'only advisers who are registered with us can be appointed', and an FSP without a Macquarie ID must first complete the 'Macquarie Registration – Representative' form; firms register for data access via the 'Third Party Online Access registration' form (mws0232tpa). The Macquarie help centre directs all view-authority requests to these forms.

Form details

TPA (FSP/company): https://www.macquarie.com.au/assets/bfs/adviser-tools/forms/cash-third-party-authority-fsp.pdf (BCASD-863-SEPT-2025, 3 pages). TPA (individual): https://www.macquarie.com.au/assets/bfs/adviser-tools/forms/cash-third-party-authority.pdf. Change of adviser: https://www.macquarie.com.au/assets/bfs/adviser-tools/mpm/change-of-account-details-form.pdf (CA-4344 MAY 2026). Forms index: https://www.macquarie.com.au/advisers/tools/super-and-pension.html. Signatures: account holder(s) must sign per the account's signing instructions (existing signatories only). Wet signature requires an attached copy of driver's licence or passport; electronic signature accepted ONLY from Macquarie's approved e-signature providers and must include the Certificate of Completion (both forms state this). Member/account number required (account number + account name fields mandatory). Validity: authority is ongoing until revoked — the form states 'You can revoke these authorities at any time by contacting us'; no expiry period is stated on the form.

Where and how to lodge

Advisers (fastest, verified): log in to Adviser Online > Request Centre > Create Request > upload the completed form — 'Third party authority' is one of the nine explicit request categories; you get on-screen confirmation, an estimated completion time, and online status tracking (statuses incl. Received / In progress / For action: Adviser). Clients/others: TPA form to transact@macquarie.com; Change of Account Details form to wrapsolutions@macquarie.com (form says 'Advisers only upload via Request Centre; Clients only email to wrapsolutions@macquarie.com'). No fax channel published. Complaints post: see IDR field.

Published turnaround

Published per-category processing times exist (help article 'Understanding processing times for adviser requests'): account/client maintenance and contact-detail updates 1 business day; applications 1 business day; Wrap Super/Pension withdrawals overnight (11am cut-off); account closures (Wrap) 6 days; asset transfers 3–20 days. No specific published turnaround for the 'Third party authority' request category — the Request Centre shows an estimated completion time on submission instead. TPA processing time itself: unverified.

Watch-outs

1) Signature-rule mismatch is the classic rejection: the Adviser Request Centre help page says uploaded forms must be 'signed per account operating instructions (no electronic signatures)', while the current TPA and change forms DO accept e-signatures from approved providers with a Certificate of Completion attached — omit the certificate and it bounces. 2) Wet-signed TPA must include a copy of driver's licence/passport or it will be returned. 3) Request Centre requires all pages of the form uploaded in one go and all mandatory fields complete, else status flips to 'For action: Adviser' and the clock restarts; any hand-amendment on the form must be signed in full by the client. 4) Only Macquarie-registered advisers can be appointed to an account — an unregistered incoming adviser must first lodge the Representative registration form, adding days. 5) On the change-of-adviser form, failing to tick the 'retain existing advice fees' box silently terminates fee payments. 6) Removing an FS company removes ALL associated professional access including direct debit and scheduled payment operation. 7) Signatories must match existing account signing instructions exactly (directors/secretary must already be account signatories). No adviser-forum turnaround complaints located for the TPA process specifically (searched; none found).

If they go quiet

Wrap-specific (from Macquarie Investment Accumulator IDPS Guide): Complaints Manager, Macquarie Wrap, GPO Box 4045 Sydney NSW 2001; phone 1800 899 485; email complaints@macquarie.com. General Macquarie channel: online complaints form at macquarie.com.au/feedback-and-complaints.html; The Complaints Officer, Macquarie Bank Ltd, GPO Box 4294 Sydney NSW 1164; 02 8550 5666. Published commitment: respond within a maximum of 30 days of receiving the complaint (Macquarie Australian Complaints Handling Policy, Dec 2025); note the statutory RG 271 maximum for superannuation complaints is 45 days — Macquarie's own policy commits to 30. Escalation: AFCA — info@afca.org.au, 1800 931 678, GPO Box 3 Melbourne VIC 3001.

Under s1017C of the Corporations Act, a trustee must make reasonable efforts to comply with an information request within one month. If Macquarie Wrap exceeds its own published standard, a formal internal-dispute-resolution complaint starts a 45-calendar-day clock under ASIC Regulatory Guide 271 — with AFCA as the next stop.

SuperChase runs this whole chase for your practice — the right form flagged before you lodge, day counters against Macquarie Wrap’s own standard, and citation-checked follow-up letters ready when they go quiet.
